About Me
I had a very special instructor that taught me to sew in high school. I learned many valuable skills, as well as an overall joy of sewing. I loved choosing patterns and fabric, and then seeing them take shape into something I could not only wear, but truly enjoy wearing.
Fast forward a *few* years, where life just got a little busy. Nearly twelve years ago, I married my husband Nethanel, and we now have four beautiful children: Lydia, Samuel, Aveline, and Laura.
It wasn’t until recently that I rediscovered my love of sewing. I started sewing clothing for myself because my style as a mother had evolved and I could never find exactly what I wanted in a store. I also started sewing for my children for the same reason. I could not find that perfect outfit for them that would not only fit their unique body shape, but also be worn for more than a few months before they outgrew it. I was sewing for my children so much that it came to the point where they really did not need anything more that I could make for them, but I still really wanted to sew.
With my husband’s encouragement, I started “Little Bugs and Me.” I call my daughter Lydia “Little Bugs,” and she is the inspiration behind this endeavor. I love sewing for my children, and I want to share that with others. I love that I can create timeless, quality, and beautiful pieces for you and your littles that have first been tested and loved by Little Bugs and me.
